Raising Volunteers
It
goes without saying that we would be nowhere without all
of our wonderful Volunteers each year. We want to send
a big 'shout out' to all our past and present Volunteers
– kitchen staff, decorating crews, bar guys &
gals, golf course volunteers, sponsors, donors, and everyone
else who helps make our events happen!
What
do we need this year?
Thursday,
June 13... 6:00 PM, decorating the Community
Centre, setting up tables and chairs, hanging decorations
Friday,
June 14... 11:00 AM, finish decorating the
tables, setting up the Silent Auction, and any last
minute set-up/decorating
** need 2 butlers for the VIP Table, ladies to help
prep food like cabbage rolls & meatballs
DON'T
FORGET THE FRIDAY NIGHT MEET 'N' GREET AT THE BOYLE LEGION
AT 8:00 PM!!!
Saturday,
June 15... all cooks welcome during the day,
need some bartenders for the evening, Silent Auction
assistance, table cleaners, and of course the 2 butlers
for the VIP table!!

Elmer
Kennedy, a.k.a. 'Queen Alma'
Elmer's
story is special. A cancer fighter
himself, he values and understands the necessity
of raising much needed funds to buy current equipment
and facilitate patient care at the Cross.
And
although feeling ill and losing hair, Elmer donned
a wig, a dress and high heels and "dared"
people to pledge his showing up in full regalia
at the Bryan Mudryk Golf Classic Dinner and Auction
evening.
Not
only did he show up, he raised a miraculous and
grateful contribution of $2,828.00! Thank
you Elmer.
