Events
This
year the 11th Annual Bryan Mudryk Golf Classic
will realize Bryan's dream of raising one million $$$,
thanks to the efforts of all volunteers, sponsors, and
donors. As a teenager in 1996, now TV personality/TSNsports
anchor and curling commentator Bryan Mudryk was diagnosed
with Hodgkins Lymphoma, which nearly cost him his life.
Not just once but twice he battled the deadly
disease, enduring high-dosage chemotherapy, and receiving
a stem cell transplant at the Cross Cancer Institute.
The three years Bryan grappled with cancer were his darkest
days. "It was horrible. It can't help but change
you. I learned a lot of life lessons in those three years."
Today Bryan is cancer free, but not without remembering
the promise he made all those years ago, while his mom
wheeled him out of the hospital. Before exiting, he turned
around and said "Mom, one day I will give back a
million dollars to this hospital." Today we
are all living his dream!
Everything
is progressing along to be another outstanding 11th Anniversary
Gala, held on June 15, 2013.
The
event has an outpouring of wonderful, kind celebrities
who come out and support Bryans cause. Distinguished
guests this year include Premier Allison Redford,
the Honourable Minister of Education Jeff Johnson,
Olympic and world champion figure skater Jamie
Sale, country singer/songwriter Brett
Kissel, country singer Colleen Rae,
MTV Host Aliya-Jasmine Sovani, CTV personalities
Rob Williams, Veronica Jubinville,
Brenna Rose and Joel Gotlib,
Global Edmonton personality Kevin Karius,
and TSN personality Jay Onrait. This
years line-up proves to be as spectacular and well rounded

Even
though golf tickets have been long since sold out, about
70 tickets remain for the dinner, auctions and dance.
Many
fabulous raffles and prize packages are awaiting to be
won by lucky individuals! On the golf course we
have 3 hole-in-one prizes, which include a brand
new Lexus sports car sponsored by LEXUS of
EDMONTON, $10,000 from Boyle ALBERTA
TREASURY BRANCH, and a 5-Star
Mexican Beach & Golf Package for two
sponsored by UNIGLOBE TRAVEL.
This year Jason and Jennifer Marcoux of WILDROSE HELICOPTERS
LTD. will be doing a 50/50 helicopter golf ball drop
at the Skeleton Lake Golf Course on Hole #9. Numbered
golf balls will be sold for $50 each, prior to the event
and on June 15 at the golf course. The closest ball
to the #9 hole or the pin will WIN HALF THE POT!
Multiple winners may share the pot.
At
the dinner and dance, to celebrate the 11th anniversary,
11 HIGH ROLLER $1000.00 PACKAGES, will be available to
the first 11 buyers. Each buyer will get a numbered
golf ball, a Bryan Mudryk Golf Classic signet Hugo Boss
wrist watch, and a beautifully designed mini golf bag
filled with stainless steel BBQ utensils and monogrammed
with the charity logo. The numbered balls will be
put in a draw and last ball standing wins a $4,500.00
golf and entertainment package which include a night stay
in the Executive Suites at any Edmonton NOVA HOTELS, passes
to EDMONTON PROSPECTS BASEBALL games, golf packages, fine
Terrazas De Los Andes wine, dining certificates, and much
more!
For
the Ladies, one lucky gal will win a beautiful 925 sterling
silver necklace set, a beautiful flower arrangement, some
fine wine, and a dinner gift certificate. Raffle
tickets are $20.00, and the draw will take place at 11:00
pm on the event night.
There
are many fabulous items donated to the live auction, like

HEALTHY HOME MAKEOVER by PURE AIR EXPERTS
valued at over $10,000; Season Corporate Luxury Suites
for The EDMONTON PROSPECTS BASEBALL LEAGUE; a getaway

who will play with BOB PALEY, 2009 Canadian Club Professional
of the year and KANANASKIS head Golf Professional. Many

as they are received and confirmed!
Lastly,
to the highest bidder, an opportunity to dine with their
favourite two celebrities, with friends at fancy dining
for ten, which includes a private butler, wine, candlelight,
and flowers beautifully designed by AILEEN HOLDIS, with
all monies going to the purchase of a NIKON MICROSCOPE.
